Nytro Ride Down

Rode to Nytro Multisport today.

Thought about a Rando ride today, down and around to Nytro Multisports in Encinitas for my usual bi-monthly pick up stuff. Initially could meet up with the Thursday OFR gruppo for the ride down from Magee Park in Carlsbad. Got up early enough for the 0600 start from San Marcos, but soon nixed the idea for a straight ride down. Got there after 1100 and checked things out. Joe was busy with 2 riders from the SDBC grouppo who involved in the Fiesta Island crash last month. Piecing together a new bike for one of them. Good thing he had his own insurance to cover bike loss.

Greg Olmstead rode in as I was sitting outside. He was on a turn around for one of his Populaires and needed a receipt. We chatted a bit and Greg explained how he added S&S Couples to his old red bike. It's now yellow after a repaint and looked plain good. Greg is one tall dude and bike fitting isn't easy for him. Talked about Matts Memorial this last Saturday and where Greg had been riding of late. Soon he was off.

Picked up some INFINIT to try.

Later I talked to Joe and he might ride on Saturday with Sam and us on the San Marcos Century. ( Don't count on this happening.) Also ask him about the new refuel powder "INFINIT" Go Far. It has a little protein in it. I picked up some to try out. It's said it might be a little "salty" at first, as it has electrolytes in it. You don't need anything else on the ride. We'll see Saturday. I also dropped off the 2 iPhones(working but cracked glass) and several pair of roadie glasses I found over the last 2 weeks. Maybe Joe and find home for that stuff.

Chatted with a few other people there, including one older guy who is a runner and wants to change over to bikes.
Says new bikes are really expensive. Was this guy reading my mind? I told him to be careful of Craiglist stuff. Rode back to San Marcos in cruise mode.
